John Graves has been practicing massage therapy now, for over 10 years, having received his training and Sonoma College (formerly Western Institute of Science and Health) in San Francisco, under the tutelage of many wonderful teachers with varied backgrounds in many massage modalities, Acupuncture, Chiropractics, Yoga, Eastern Philosophy, and Natural Healing!

He also has been practicing Reiki and Energy-work for over a Decade and is now a Reiki Master Teacher, offering classes on Reiki Levels 1 through 3 in the SF Bay Area. Please Call or email to inquire!

John grew up in Upstate, NY in a small town on the St. Lawrence river, surrounded by nature, where he learned to garden, grow and use herbs, and started studying natural healing and metaphysics. In 2001 John graduated high school and left for NYC to study at New School University, in liberal arts.

John also attended the Hippocrates Health Institute Life Change Program in West Palm Beach, Florida, studying plant based raw/whole food nutrition, healing and detoxification of the body, and creating whole-person well being.

In 2002 John moved to San Francisco, where he was initiated and ordained into the Essene Way, studying Essene Mystical healing techniques and meditation. One of his favorite Mentors and Essene teachers is Dr. Gabriel Cousens MD. ND. at http://www.treeoflife.nu

In 2004 John began his study of Massage at Sonoma College in San Francisco and received 735 hours of training in advanced massage therapy including Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Energy-Work, Pregnancy massage, Sports massage, as well as Neuromuscular and Trigger-point therapy.

John has continued (and will continue) studying other styles of massage and healing work, including nutrition, herbal medicine, meditation and yoga, and looks forward to branching out into many different healing modalities!
